honey my heart jewelry is subtle gold lines, swoops, suns, and hearts with a minimalist ideal and light flair.
honey my heart is a Los Angeles based jewelry collection designed, developed, and created by metalsmith Jella Roson. Started in 2011, honey my heart’s jewelry is light, strong, reflects beauty and identity. Our pieces are made to be styled and cultivated, to work with you and your style. With locally-sourced, 14k gold filled, solid gold, and sometimes sterling silver, we combine soft lines, heart shapes, a touch of geometry, and gemstones & pearls for touches of color. Each heart, ring, and bangle is individually hand forged, soldered, and polished, all in small batches.
proudly inspired, designed, and made by hand in Los Angeles, CA.
Born in 1983 in Manila, Philippines and migrating to the US in 1990, Jella grew up in Glendale, CA with a love for DIY, local music, and family. She studied at UC Santa Barbara and continued to live in Santa Barbara many years after (2001-2012), falling in love with the laid back beach vibes and endless sunny days. So much of honey my heart is connected to SB, inspired by the beauty, ocean breezes, and ease of the city. But LA is home. The creative community, access to the Jewelry District and ethnic enclaves (HiFi, Little Tokyo, Chinatown, Sawtelle), culture, diversity, countless amazing museums, boba tea, random celebrity sightings, local independent designer network, events/workshops/classes, and family were just a handful of reasons to head back. In 2012, Jella moved back to LA, residing in Westwood. LA is home.
Jella’s newest project is in the heart stories: a website that contains modern Filipina/x/o American stories and work.
